Little Update...

So I pretty much didnt update this for a while. Too much going on, and frankly just too dang lazy. I still have yet to finish the Europe blog... OOOPS! (I will though)

Anyway, little update. Still here in Texas still loving it. Justin and I decided to part ways and he is headed back to Arizona. What an adventure we had :) I have not a single bad thing to say about the man, just we didnt work out. Fate brought us together, fate took us apart. Its just time to start a new chapter in both of our lives and I sincerely hope the best for the both of us.

On a lighter note, Thanksgiving is coming up and I cant wait to go home to see the family. I Was there just a few weeks ago for the most gorgeous wedding for my dear friends Steve and Stephanie Fromm. What a blast, and a few weeks before that, Vegas for the bachelor/bachelorette parties. Needless to say that was probably one of the best weekends I have ever had in Vegas, with the exception that I came home with the most awful stomach ache! Its taken about a month to get over! Too much drinking I think... oopsie daisy, maybe its stress, who knows, probably both.

Other than that just been hanging out a home living life. This week im going to try out a traditional korean bathhouse! They have one in Dallas, worth a try, gonna get a massage and relax from this hectic-ness that has been going on in the last week.

I will try to do my best to post some pictures of the wedding/bachelorette party and other things we've done. Like memorial day when my mom came in town and some other stuff, just not so easy now that its been so long. Plus how do you write about the fun you had with your significant other when they are no longer that. hmmmf. Maybe i will just say the last few months have been a few that I will never forget and I am a lucky girl to have experienced them.... Oh yeah, and God Bless Texas, Ya'll. LOL

Rangers vs. D-Backs

Surprised justin with tickets to the Rangers game, and guess who they were playing! The AZ Diamondbacks! We stopped and ate at steak and shake before the game, which has been on the to do list since we moved here! Same yummy goodness that they have in indiana!

We only saw maybe one other dback fan!! We were surrounded by rangers fans!!

The kid next to us got the biggest hot dog I have ever seen. It had at least 5 hot dogs worth with chili and cheese on top. he ate the WHOLE thing. wasnt looking so great when he left.

Talk about some good seats :)

Firestone 550 - Texas Motor Speedway

So my dad came in town this weekend for the Firestone 550 Indycar race at Texas Motor Speedway. We got a campsite on the speedway grounds so we didnt have to drive home at night after the race (Smart!)

The poor little tree didnt give us much shade but it was enough.
Before the indycar race they had Rallycross which was sooo cool to watch. travis Pastrama! Yeah!

Lining up to start the race!
Meanwhile in the bleachers....... Doing the hula hoop for free stuff!

 Here they Come! Indycar!!
It was pretty hot out but we tried our best to stay cool and refreshed. Refreshments were important!
Like Snow Cones!!! Yumm!!!

 Indycar under the lights! wooo!

They let us go down into the pits after the race to watch all the teams pack up. Refreshments in hand ;)

 Go Ed Carpenter!
If anyone wonders what his heaven will look like. It will be this. Happiest kid around at the races!
Man I have one good looking dad! oh and pretty good photo skills, especially after all day refreshments!

Could you imagine this at 300mph? No thanks.
 Discussing the race probably.
More Discussions while walking back to the tent where we heated up some ribs that we made the day before. They were SOOO good after a long day! fortunately it cooled down just enough to be bearable once the sun went down so it was nice hanging out by the campsite. We played a little catch phrase then hit the sack! Got up early with the sun and headed home!

California Wedding

Went to california for a wedding for justin's cousin. It was really nice to get to meet his side of the family! Got to meet grandma, Aunt's uncles and cousins. I wish we would have been able to stay a little longer to spend more time with them but at least I got to meet them.

When we got in it was rush hour traffic time in LA so we decided to drive up the coast instead of take the freeways.

It was a nice weekend we got to go to the beach for a little but but Ron (Justin's dad) had just had a surgery and didnt want to be in the sun, not only that we didnt have a lot of time to spend at the beach before we had to get on the plane.

Sorry I cant find the pictures from this weekend!

Paddleboarding at Eagle Mountain Lake!

So this weekend was memorial day and we didnt have much planned, figured it would be nice to just do nothing for once. Of course, that never happens with us. Friday night we went out to dinner and a movie. We had dinner at the sushi place down the street it was pretty good, a little expensive but worth it. Not knowing what movies were out we just drove over to the theater to see and we were going to see the new movie with Zach Efron, I was so excited! BUT, Justin wasnt so much, we saw Men in Black 3 instead. Pretty funny movie if I do say so myself!

The next morning we woke up and went up to Eagle Mountain lake for some paddle boarding. Thought we were going to get up there early in the morning but on a saturday morning it was harder to get up than we thought! We went out to the lake with some new friends that we met through my work.
Eagle Mountain Lake!
When we got there we had to wait about an hour for the paddle boarding rental people to come back to rent us some boards, which was ok. We met the marina maintenance guy and he was a character. He showed us a picture of an alligator that they caught in the lake a few weeks prior. Made us all a little hesitant to get in the water, the thing was huge. Here is the report that the news did on the alligator before they caught it.

We put the alligators in the back of our minds and hopped into the water. It was perfect, not cold and not too hot! They gave us a quick lesson on how to paddle around and we were off. Justin brought his GoPro but unfortunately we didnt switch off in time before the memory card got full so there aren't any pictures of him :( We will have to get some next time!

Paddleboarding!

Looks like alligator country! I got tired of standing up, plus sitting is way easier.

I think i hit justin a few times with my paddle!
We stopped on the docks for some snacks and a few drinks, while we were sitting there some baby ducks came up and were getting on and off my board. THey were so cute and they were coming super close, I finally tried to reach out and touch one and they let me! Momma duck got pretty upset though, she was quacking super loud at them to go back to her. After 2 hours of paddling around we were all pretty tired and went up to the marina bar to get some food, we were starving!!!

That night we came home and we were exhausted. We had planned on going salsa dancing with our new friends but we didnt have the energy. We fell asleep for a nap around 6 and didnt wake back up until 10pm! Oops! Made going back to sleep that night really hard! The next day we slept in as much as we could but we were supposed to go over to my bosses house for a cook out. We eventually got off our butts and got going, We hung out at their house BBQing and playing cards until late that night. The next day we relaxed and did absolutely nothing. Overall it was a great weekend and we look forward to hanging out with our new buddies some more!

TV's and Lawn Mowers

Ahhh I was right! This weekend was awesome. We didn't do anything except for relax and put the house together some more. Saturday afternoon we drove up to Irving, TX to go to the IKEA because there were a few things we wanted to get. Most importantly though we wanted to get a stand for all of our stuff for under the TV. We left the place with a bunch of odds and ends, a TV stand and some stuff to organize our closet.

When we got home we didn't realize that the TV "Stand" that we got had screw holes in the top of it, that you could see when you walked by it so Justin went to home depot to get a few things to fix it up. After it was all said and done we have the most awesome TV set up ever!

We got lights that stick to the back of the tv to make it glow.

We hung the top of a Hutch under the TV so it looks like its floating under the TV.

Oh and Sunday we went to WalMart and bought a lawn mower and weed wacker since we didn't have one and didn't have enough room to take the one my dad was going to give us.

Bought him a lawn mower, he looks so excited huh?

Mowing the Law in Sandals.

Workin hard!

The Finished Product!

Overall we had a great weekend just hanging out at home. Pictures of the inside to be posted soon!
