House Hunting Part 2

Why didnt anyone ever tell me how hard it is to look for a house.... This has to be the most draining, most stressful thing I have ever done....

You have to look at the foundation, the air conditioner, the yard, the walls, the floors, the appliances, the location, the attic space, the surrounding schools, the garage, shoot you even have to look at the light fixtures. Granted, most of that can be changed and updated but when you have such high expectations for the perfect house it makes it that much more stressful.

I put an offer on a few houses, one of them I cancelled because I realized the house was just too small, and two of them I have offers on are a short sales which could take months to get approved although they are both very nice, almost perfect houses.

For anyone eventually going to be looking at houses, my heart goes out to you. It is not easy. I finally decided that the house I will buy is in Mansfield so I can be close to work. Mansfield has been voted one of the best places to live several different years. I figure I could find a house here and just rent it out eventually to a small family.

And the search continues....

March Madness

Where do I even begin.... March was a blast. Got to go back to Indiana to hang out with the new boyfriend!!! Got there on Thursday night after I got off work, took friday off! It's always such a good feeling walking through the airport knowing you get to see that one person that you've been counting down the days to see. You almost have to run because you feet can't walk fast enough! And the goofy smile that's on your face...and the butterflies, oh lord the butterflies. Then you finally see that smile in real life and get to be in those arms. Nothing feels better!

I can remember that moment to a T. But the rest of the weekend seems to get a little fuzzy. Be it the alcohol or that I'm writing this months later, who knows.

I got to see Jake's shop and got a quick little intro to the family. It was good to see where he works and what he does, so  when we are on the phone together I can know the heck he is talking about!

I got to finally meet his mom and dad at the shop, we were going to go out to dinner with them later but I pretty much instantly loved his mom. She is just one of those ladies that you just want to hug all the time because they just are so stinkin' sweet.

After that we went up to the indoor go karting place! Being that I used to be a professional bad ass go kart racer the boys were all scared. Haha I talk a big game! Anyway, we get in the karts and being my size in things that are set up for grown men always makes for a challenge. When I sat down I couldn't reach the pedals so I had one of the workers adjust them so I could reach. The idiot put them too close, I tried telling  him but he just walked off so. Idiot number two comes over and helps me adjust them to the right spot. We're off! Lap one! My foot goes under the pedal and I go straight into the wall. This is no little bump either! I hit so hard I thought for sure my back was broken. My helmet shield was broken, that's for sure!

Ouch! I was in an incredible amount of pain! And we still had a few more races to go! I didn't think I had it in me but I just sucked it up and went out there. At this point it was so hard to steer from my back hurting it wasn't much fun buuuttt I didn't wanna be a sissy so I just kept on keepin on! Needless to say that all beat me!!! Next time boys, next time!!!

That night we went to dinner with Jake's parents, his sister and her husband we ate at PF Changs! Yummmmy! They are all a great bunch of people and it makes me sad that I don't have more than a few hours for dinner to spend with them.

After dinner we ended up going back to Jake's, had a few people over, drank a little then went to bed. Long day ahead of us! We were going to the super cross!!!

We got up in the morning...late morning...and started our day with some breakfast, maybe, but maybe we had Arby's I can't remember. Little fuzzy, months later, remember.

Did I mention we were going to the super cross?! Awww yeah! Oh and did I also mention we were going dressed in green for st Patrick's day!

Luckiest girl in the world <3
The super cross was so much fun. We snuck in some adult beverages, which was worth it considering the cost of drinks at those kind of things. It was so much fun watching that, I forgot how much I really liked that kind of stuff. Being there with jake and all of his friends made it that much better. It was good to actually get to spend a little time with them.

:D

Brrraaaaaapppp!!!
Scott and I! Weee!!!

After the Supercross we went down town to drink for st patricks day. It was frigid out! I was not prepared for that kind of cold, nor was anyone else. Luckily we ended up inside at a bar, Of course it was overcrowded but it was still fun. I got to see Ashleigh Smith, she was sad that I wasnt the wild party animal I used to be. Hey girl, things change, time to grow up.

Green!
Hey There! Watch your hands!!!

Felt pretty much like crap the next day but I'd spend any time I could with Jake, hungover or not it was still good to just be in the same state! Of course the goodbye's are getting harder and harder because I dont want to have to leave him ever! I know there is something special about him and long distance or not I will do everything to make it work! A move to Indiana is starting to look like more and more of a possibility. Maybe one day....Until then I can make it through a tear or two when we say goodbye, or I mean...See you soon.

He Went For the Weakness....

So today I came home from work and checked the mail like I always do and there was a sweet little present in there from Mr. Jake. Seriously, he is something special to me! I will say it again an again. Even though we are so far away I still feel really close to him. We get to talk each and every day and not a day goes by that I dont get that cheesy smile. Today was no exception.

A man after my own heart, knows the one thing I love more than anything in the world. My baby girl Indy, and just to make it special added a little alma mater touch. GO ASU!!!

He had better watch out because I'm not ever going to let him go! He makes me too happy! I just wish we could be closer! I could see myself possibly moving away to Indiana. We talked about it and Im sure its a possiblity one day down the road. :)

House Hunting

So It has come time in my life for me to buy a home. I have been saving my money for the past few months so I can buy a little place of my own. I figure if I buy a place here in Texas I can live in it while I am here and then eventually make it a rental home. I will have roommates to help me make the payments, or essentially make the payment for me.

I have a realtor who has been taking me out to help me find them! It is so stressful trying to find a house. There is so much to consider when buying a home. Let alone doing it when you have no family around to help!

I have been blessed to have the best boss around, who has helped me look at several homes that I thought could be the right fit for me. Unfortunately I have yet to find the right place...

I just want something thats perfect little house for Indy and I. But all I am finding is garbage! Just waiting until the right one comes along. The market is so crazy though right now. In my price range the houses are on the market on day and off the market the next.
